Welcome to my personal space!
When I was little, I did not like technology. I didn’t have a computer until I was 13. At that time all my friends had one, and they seemed very agile in simple tasks such as using Word and PowerPoint. Maybe that is why I always had the feeling that it was something alien to me. Fortunately, my perception has changed over time. Today you will find me looking for the latest news related to new applications of AI, digital rights and social justice.
I am a digital rights advocate, intersectional feminist and researcher. Tech is another tool that reinforces systemic inequalities. It does not take into account the realities and needs from everyone, leaving behind underrepresented communities.
My personal and professional experiences have taught me the following about myself:
— I put people at the centre of what I do.
— I love to win. I was an athlete for 11 years, international with Spain and multiple times winner of Spanish and regional championships. However, helping the team win always gave me greater joy, and nowadays, I have the same feeling.
— I speak tech in a way that everyone can understand. Tech must be spoken in an affordable language.
— I volunteer regularly.
— I tell great stories that motivate. My dream is to change the way we envision tech, into more inclusive and diverse narratives.
— I educate and drive myself to be a better person and professional.
— Through my writing, presentations and workshops, I help people explore new possibilities and points of view about tech, so they can create their own future. I love guiding individuals through their own journey of discovery.
I am actively seeking (preferably paid) opportunities:
✊🏾 to speak on themes linked to digital rights, social justice and decolonization of technologies
🎙to speak at and moderate events.
I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new perspectives. Let me know if you want to talk to me about tech, digital rights or athletics.
